Her Look was Deception

She looked magnificent; like a precious work of art created by no man’s hands.

The very lines which expressed her perfect curves and edges were defined without a fault. I could use my finger tips to trace the glorious outlines of her curvaceous physique. I wondered how many crunches a day she endured. Was she into Pilates or Yoga? Or was her body a result of intense Cardio. Who created this woman? Every man that glanced at her wanted her.  Some even fell in love with her by merely looking at her. Any woman that stared her loathed her; because being like her seemed like an impossible feat. She smiled at me. Her stare was contagious. This woman was outright PERFECTION. I took another look. This time I noticed something else; her skin. Oh Yes, the colour of her skin was like a glow from heaven. Not a single blemish on her gleaming skin. My skin had never been like hers: perfect. What on earth would I have to endure to look this HOT?

Another page turns.

I see her again. Wait a minute, it isn’t her. This woman looks superior to the first. Where are these women created? They have the money. They have the talent. They’ve got the look. Life isn’t fair….lol. I must admit it. There is no doubt about it. I fell for her. I wanted to be like her. I wanted to feel exactly the way she felt staring at me. Yes, I fell for the woman in the MAGAZINE…oops.

At this point, a lot of you would be wondering what exactly this post is about. Lol. Take another look at the image captured above. Now take a look at the image below.

And yes, it is the same person. Her name is Tamara Ecclestone. She is a celebrity and the first image was enhanced by PHOTOSHOP.  A lot of us have been a sucker for the beautiful women we see in magazines. At least at a certain time in our lives those images have been our inspiration. The images have pushed us to eat less even to the point of starvation, to hit the gym even when fagged out. Some of us have even gone as far as mixing concoctions that contained a combination of lightening elements in a bid to making our skins glow. Believe me, this has to stop.

Below are additional pictures of known celebrities. From these pictures, you can see that celebrities look different in real life as compared to their photoshopped images on the covers of magazines. Celebrities look normal in real life. They look like us.

1. Cameron Diaz

 2. Alicia Keys

3. Kate Moss

4. Scarlet Johannson

5. Kim Kardashian

6. Tara Reid

7. Ke$ha

More pictures can be see at www.weblyest.com.

Guess what they have in common? Okay, stop guessing. They all have money, yes? However, in real life, they also have Cellulite****wink. But can you see how well toned they look in the magazines?

So ladies, you are all wonderfully and fearfully made by the Creator. Love yourself exactly the way you are. It would be impossible for someone to love or appreciate you if you do not appreciate yourself first. When you look at your image in the mirror, smile at yourself. Tell yourself that you are beautiful. Tell yourself that you look lovely. Tell yourself that you are a QUEEN. The next time you look at a magazine, don’t feel bad about your height, size, complexion, and so on. Be proud. Be bold. You are beautiful.

However, I am not saying that you shouldn't exercise or go on a healthy diet if you feel like it.  If it would make you happier, then by all means please go ahead. Do whatever makes you happy. I only warn you not to over work your entire system trying to be like the lady in the magazine. It is a mental and emotional torture especially to the naive. She is a pure Mirage. She doesn’t exist. Nobody is perfect. That is my opinion.

I am not against Photoshopping. It is a great invention and tool. Something that great should not be hidden or unacknowledged. I believe that photoshopped pictures should have a logo that tells consumers that the images have been enhanced. If women knew then what they know now, a lot of us would not have fallen for the deception caused by Photoshop.

Beauty glows from within. Beauty is divine. Beauty may come in all shapes and sizes. Beauty may be any colour. Beauty is not about perfection. There are also beautiful imperfections. It is just a matter of what you see when you look. Build your self esteem and If someone tells you otherwise, tell the person to go hug a transformer cos you are wonderfully and fearfully made by the Creator.

Here are some quotes on inner beauty:
“No matter how plain a woman may be, if truth and honesty are written across her face, she will be beautiful.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt

“The beauty of a woman is not in a facial mole, but true beauty in a Woman is reflected in her soul. It is the caring that she lovingly gives, the passion that she knows.” ― Audrey Hepburn

“Nobody should be judged on their looks. Beauty is not found on the body but in the soul. The only thing the media has done is change the definition of the word. I mean being attractive may make it easier to catch some one but being kind and loving is how you keep some one. Also with make up its like putting on a mask some masks are creative and fun most others are just used to cover who you really are up. Be yourself.” ― Danyon Guthrie-lewis

Thanks for reading. Have a nice day!!! :)
