Why do women hate each other?

I am definitely not the only one who has noticed this so called Woman to Woman kpalava. I wonder why we can't stand each other. It's so bad that when I have to go to a meeting or make a call, I hope its a man that would be at the other end. Do men have these issues too? I doubt!!

Let me paint this awkward situation for you: you are a girl, okay? yourself and your spouse are hanging out in the evening at a nice spot. His friend comes around and  brings his woman along. Courtesy demands introductions and all that stuff. The two guys begin the usual discussion- football, business and politics. The girls? OMG. The girls are either pretending to be engrossed on a non-existing BBM chat....AWKWARD!! If its not BBM, then its WhatsApp or they'll be playing a stupid game on their smartphones. Some of us don't use that tactic; we form being engaged in what the boys are discussing..nodding and laughing just to avoid a conversation with the OTHER girl.

Another awkward moment is when the boys step out to order Suya or Fish n chips at the barbecue stand. This is when the girls realise that the environment is beautiful. Especially if it is by the lagoon. Not a single word would be spoken...I wonder why? 

Let's even rewind this story. What do you think went on in their minds when they were introduced. It would range from things like; 

hmmm, what kind of make up is this one using sef? 

she looks cheap? 

what is this guy doing with this kind of girl? 

Ha, her bag is fine o, I wonder who bought it for her?

What is she feeling like? common too say hello, she is waiting for me?

Oooooooo, why did he bring this one here?

Does she even work sef?

The negative list could go on and on and on. The funny thing is that there would be smiles n all when having these thoughts. Have you ever gone to an interview and you are praying that the interviewer is a man? Then, if it turns out to be a woman and coincidentally, you flunk it, you will say she didn't just like me...you know all these women..smh.

So why do we hate each other so much? Even friends bad mouth each other (yes thats right. they are called FRENEMIES). Every woman is under the impression that she is better than the other woman (besides all fingers are not equal) but it would be best to keep this feeling locked up in your head and stop hating on other women because you are intimidated by them. 

From experience, the cause of this historical hatred may be from the following:

• Envy- you hate what you don't have cause you feel you can't have it. Yes, she is more beautiful. She has more class. She is in a happy relationship and she glows. Her boyfriend/ Fiancé /Hubby is rich, handsome and famous. She voluptuous. She only uses Brazilian weaves, bla bla bla. Stop hating so much. There would definitely be something to love about you. So identify your Selling point!!!
• Woman to Man ratio: Let the truth be told, there are more women in this world than men but it does not mean that there isn't enough men for every woman ( especially as same sex unions are now legalised in some places...lol). Hopefully, this factor should not be a problem in the nearest future.
• Ego, Inferiority complex, Superiority complex.

The list is inexhaustible and I am not going to bore you with it. They say a problem is 50% solved when you recognise that there is a problem. I have recognised this problem and definitely I am going to stop hating other women unreasonably. Going forward, let us love and support each other. 

Caution: Loving and supporting each other does not mean that when a woman is acting like a b*tch to you for no good reason, you wouldn't throw her into the cage where she belongs!!!
